Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Dying To Talk Substack publication called “Huggles.”
(If I had a footnote, I’d use it now. Since I don’t I will simply explain here:)
A “Huggle” is a word my cousin’s son, Levi, invented when he was around the age of 2. It is his favorite thing to do which is to give and receive hugs. In my world of hospitals and healthcare, teams of clinicians form huddles as we move around the hospital to see patients and families in our care. I am invoking the term “Huggles” to create a new intention around the experience of healthcare for providers and recipients, alike.
As we gather to listen and share and reflect on stories about what matters most, may we all experience this as a space and time for “Huggles.”
This specific “Huggles” space is in the Substack app and exclusive for Dying To Talk subscribers. (In case you have not subscribed and are in need of a hug, just enter your email below and click “subscribe.” That easy:)
I am also launching a special Dying To Talk Podcast series called UCSF Heart Sounds in 2023. Stay tuned for Heart Sounds “Huggles” space coming soon.
To join any of the “Huggles”, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Conversations are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you never miss a “Hug.”
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
Hi Dawn! Sending you huggles ❤️
